Meet Our Staff

Elliot Ledner, D.D.S.

Dr. Elliot Ledner graduated magna cum laude with honors in biology from Brandeis University in 1980. In 1984 he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery with a minor in periodontics from the University of Buffalo. Dr. Ledner practiced dentistry from 1984-1986 in the Buffalo area while his wife, Dr. Janet Zaiff, completed her dental studies. In 1986 Dr. Ledner and Dr. Zaiff began practicing dentistry in the Yorktown area. Dr. Ledner is an associate fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute

Dr. Ledner enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic and implant dentistry. He has taken many continuing education courses over the years. Most recently he has completed a three day laser dentistry symposium. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the Ninth District Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, and the Yorktown Lions Club. Dr. Ledner is also an associate fellow of the World Clinical Laser Institute He is a past president of Alpha Chapter of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and is a member of the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Dr. Ledner is involved with the Give Back A Smile Program in the Yorktown area. Many survivors of domestic violence receive facial trauma, including dental related injuries, and are not financially able to have these injuries restored to normalcy. Through Give Back A Smile, Dr. Ledner restores the smile of individuals who have sustained dental injuries due to domestic abuse.

Dr. Ledner and Dr. Zaiff have lived in Northern Westchester since 1986. They have three children. As a family, they enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, and playing tennis.

Janet Zaiff, D.D.S.

Dr. Janet Zaiff graduated cum laude in Biology and Economics from the University of Rochester in 1982. She received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Buffalo in 1986.

Dr. Zaiff has been practicing dentistry in the Yorktown area since 1986 with her husband, Dr. Elliot Ledner. She is also a clinical assistant professor at New York University Dental School. Dr. Zaiff is on the board of directors of the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Zaiff has taken many continuing education courses over the years. Her affiliation with New York University Dental School has helped her keep abreast with the latest advances in dentistry. Dr. Zaiff is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Westchester Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the Ninth District Dental Society, and the New Yorktown Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Zaiff and her husband have three children and have lived in Northern Westchester since 1986. She enjoys tennis, jogging, skiing, biking, and hiking.

Jonathan A. Silver, D.D.S.

Dr. Jonathan Silver graduated magna cum laude from Adelphi University with a BS in 1994. He received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Suny at Stony Brook Dental School in 1998. After graduating dental school, Dr. Silver completed a residency program at Our Lady Of Mercy Medical Center.

Dr. Silver has been practicing dentistry in Westchester County since 1999. He practices all aspects of dentistry and especially enjoys cosmetic dentistry and endodontics. Dr. Silver has taken many continuing education courses over the years. He is involved in a dental study group at the Peninsula Hospital Center. Dr. Silver is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Ninth District Dental Society.

Dr. Silver lives and was raised in Westchester County. He enjoys fitness training, hiking, jogging, baseball, fishing, and coin and stamp collecting.

John Karle, D.M.D.

Dr. John Karle graduated from Ohio Wesleyan in 1963 with a B.A. He completed his dental school studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 1970. Dr. Karle completed his orthodontic training at Colombia University School of Orthodontics in 1974.

Dr. Karle is a member of the New York County Dental Society, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Dental Association. He is a board certified orthodontist and has been practicing orthodontics in the Yorktown area since 1984.
